Dr. Rikki Permenter is licensed with the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She also holds a credentialing as a National Certified Counselor.
Dr. Rikki Permenter is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Family, Child, & Consumer Science. She is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with two masters, a Masters of Arts in Marriage & Family Counseling and a Masters of Theology. She is also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology & Counseling from New Orleans Baptist.
Dr. Rikki Permenter is originally from Zachary, Louisiana. She loves (in no specific order) yoga, the beach, Burt's Bees chapstick, weenie dogs, Jesus, and Community Coffee - Between Roast only. She's backpacked Central America, lived in Texas for a minute, and on Maui for a year. She loves to travel and has been to 12 countries since graduating college. If she isn't at CC's borrowing their internet you can find her at a Silliman football game, watching The Office on Netflix with her husband (check him out here, or here, or here) , hanging out with her weenie dog (because she is hilarious), or playing dress up with her husband's mini-me & the prettiest girl on the block, Hudson James .
Dr. Rikki Permenter has been practicing since 2009. She started out with an internship & practicum in Chalmette, Louisiana at The Gathering Counseling. After graduating with her masters she began her post-masters internship seeing clients at New Orleans Baptist, Spectrum in Denham Springs, Zachary Community Church, and in Private Practice in Baton Rouge. After licensure she continued seeing clients in Private Practice in Baton Rouge. Seeing clients at each of these various sites gave her experience in working with a wide range of clients. She has seen clients from various socioeconomic statuses, various ethnicities, various ages, and clients with severe mental illness.

Denise A. Caraway is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. She is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Denise A. Caraway is native of East Tennessee where she lived her whole life until she moved to New Orleans to attend the Baptist Seminary. Denise now resides in Greensburg, Louisiana along with her husband and two teenage sons. Her passions are cooking, reading, vacations at Disney and the mountains of East Tennessee. She loves spending time with her husband attending various school functions/sporting events for their two sons at Oak Forest Academy.
Denise A. Caraway has been practicing as a therapist since 2005. Denise completed a practicum at the state hospital in Mandeville, and also an internship at the counseling center with New Orleans First Baptist Church. She has been employed with a non-profit for the past 17 years as both a family counselor, a clinical supervisor and as a program consultant. She has seen clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. She has extensive experience in working with children and adolescents and has also provided counseling to individuals, couples, and families.

Dillon Guillot is a Counseling Intern under the supervision of Katherine Arnold, MAMFC, LMFT, LPC.
Dillon Guillot holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Louisiana State University. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dillon Guillot is originally from Saint Francisville, Louisiana. He enjoys racing motocross, cars, playing music, and worshiping Jesus. He has served as a missionary in Canada and is currently the Youth Director at Saint Francisville United Methodist Church. If you don’t find Dillon hanging out with his future wife, Claire, he is trying to catch up on the latest races and binging Netflix, playing with his dogs Bella and Roux, or working on his car.
Dillon Guillot has completed his clinical practicum at Leeke Magee Christian Counseling Center in New Orleans, seeing a variety of clients from different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. He has focused on helping individuals and couples overcome life difficulties, trauma, depression, and anxiety using techniques derived from the following therapy models: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Dillon is currently working on his Clinical Internship at Bent Tree Counseling and the Leeke Magee Christian Counseling Center.
After your first session at Bent Tree Counseling if you don't feel like you have really connected with your counselor just tell them! They will not be offended or hurt. Not all counselors will be a good fit for every client. Bent Tree Counseling is well connected with other counselors in the Baton Rouge & surrounding areas and is committed to helping you find the perfect person for you. We'll even give you a referral.
